Abstract
|

|
Objective : This study was to develop a cognitive training application ‘Dementia Down’ for the elderly in the community that applied Augmented Reality (AR) by supplementing the existing Virtual Reality (VR) program.
Methods : The application developed in this study was conducted for a total of 9 months from September 2020 ~ May 2021. For the usability evaluation in terms of content validity and facilitator of the program, data were collected from 30 therapists who conducted it, and usability and satisfaction were evaluated for the e lderly who partic ipated in the program between the ages o f 65 and under 85, and SPSS Statistics 24.0 version was used. was used for analysis.
Results : For the usability and satisfaction evaluation for the elderly who participated in the program, the Likert 4-point scale was used, and the usability evaluation was 2.93±0.43 and the satisfaction evaluation was 3.27±1.03. The usability evaluation of the therapist who conducted the program also used the Likert 4-point scale, which was found to be 3.05±0.26. The results for content validity were .86 overall CVI and Chronbach alpha was .82 for reliability, which was high.
Conclusion : The cognitive training application using augmented reality developed in this study was confirmed as a positive result for the usability and satisfaction of the elderly. In addition, the therapists were confirmed to have positive results for usability and content validity, and it is expected that the application will be actively used in various services such as dementia prevention and cognitive rehabilitation intervention for the elderly using the application.
